Unifying the Universe is a 'tour de force'. Maestro Padamsee has orchestrated a most interesting adventure in time, blending science, history and the arts in revealing man's endless search for the truth.Complex scientific material is clearly explained using a bare minimum of mathematics.The book would provide a foundation for the non-scientist to help them appreciate the complex world in which they live.It is also a fun read for those versed in science.

Science, literature, art, history are all combined in this wonderful, easily read, book. I recommend it for all interested both in scince and how it developed. The many stories make the giants of science into real people. The pictures are well-chosen and add greatly.
